Privacy and personal data protection policy of Lamantine Software a. s. ("Lamantine Software")

This policy applies to the web pages in the Lamantine Software domain, registered to and administered by Lamantine Software, as well as to the products developed by and/or licensed by Lamantine Software and its subsidiaries. Lamantine Software is not responsible for the behavior of operators of web pages that have the same name or domain, but which are not registered to Lamantine Software.

Lamantine Software recognizes the need to protect the personal data of all visitors to its web pages. Lamantine Software confirms that its actions are in compliance with both the Privacy Act of its home country, the Czech Republic (Act no. 101/200 Sb) - a member of the European Union - and, more broadly, the generally recognized principles of privacy and personal data protection. Lamantine Software collects and retains only 1) data that is needed to maintain the quality of Lamantine Software products and services at the highest possible level and 2) data that is essential for providing support to users of Lamantine Software products and services.

Data collection as it relates to Lamantine Software webpage visits

Lamantine Software, its affiliates, and advertisers may use so-called "cookies" to track visitors to Lamantine Software websites. Cookie technology is used to facilitate navigation of the website. Cookies are small pieces of unique information, sent by a website, that are stored on your hard drive and temporarily in your computer's memory by your web browser. Personal Data provided by visitors to Lamantine Software web pages

Personal Data, as used in connection with any Lamantine Software website herein, pertains only to visits to a Lamantine Software website. The data are not associated with, or connected to, any product purchase or other transaction on any site operated by Lamantine Software. Please note that the Lamantine Software web pages may contain links to websites of LamantineSoftware affiliates, business partners or other third parties. These third parties have their own privacy policies, which you should read before submitting any data on those pages. Lamantine Software is not liable for activities of any third party.

Access to Personal Data; Personal Data security

Lamantine Software takes all reasonable care to ensure that the types of data described in this Policy are available only to those employees of Lamantine Software who must have access to it for activities (e.g. support) to the benefit of the person who provided the data to Lamantine Software or to whom the data otherwise relates. "Employee" above means any employee or contractor of Lamantine Software, its subsidiaries or branches. Lamantine Software will never provide Personal Data to third parties without the awareness and agreement of the person to whom said data relates unless compelled to do so by applicable local, country or international laws.

Individual processes initiated on a Lamantine Software web page may be continued on the pages of another company’s website when this is essential for their continuation (e.g. completion of a product purchase process via an e-shop, particularly payments via credit card). In such cases, Personal Data may be shared between Lamantine Software and the company performing such continuation of a process. Lamantine Software takes care to ensure that its business partners treat Personal Data in a manner in accordance with the law and moral principles, but it also recommends that, in cases where data will be shared with a Lamantine Software business partner, the person sharing Personal Data also familiarizes himself or herself with the Personal Data policy available on the web page of that business partner.

The Personal Data that Lamantine Software acquires is stored on servers that are protected against unauthorized access. Sensitive portions of the Lamantine Software web pages may also be protected via a password created by the visitor, who takes full responsibility for his or her behavior as regards password security and secure access to such protected areas. Lamantine Software cannot take responsibility for unauthorized access to Personal Data that occurs during data transfers made possible by security failures in systems other than Lamantine Software's systems. Purposes for which Personal Data is used

Personal Data acquired by Lamantine Software is used in connection with activities that lead to outcomes requested by the visitor to the Lamantine Software web pages or in connection with an agreement between Lamantine Software and the visitor. Typical activities include:

  • completing orders initiated by the customer via Lamantine Software web pages
  • completing credit card payments via the secure web pages of Lamantine Software or its e-commerce partner

  • Lamantine Software reserves the right to use customers' contact information to send them information it deems important for the correct utilization of its products and services.

Public areas of the Lamantine Software web site

Public areas of the Lamantine Software web site may include, for example, forums and mailing lists for which the visitor registers using forms on the Lamantine Software web site. It is the visitor's decision as to whether his or her Personal Data will be displayed in these public areas in the course of communication with other participants of said public areas.

Data stored in Lamantine Software products

All personal information stored in or used by the products produced by Lamantine Software, including passwords and addresses.  are stored in encrypted format („Encrypted Data“) only on the customer´s computer or other designated device. As such these data are not accessible to Lamantine Software. If the user activates the synchronization service, the Encrypted Data are sent to Lamantine Software´s servers or to the servers of storage providers selected by Lamantine Software in order to ensure such a service. Neither Lamantine Software nor the storage service provider have access to the Encrypted Data. These are encrypted before they are sent. Only the user has the key to decrypt the data.

Changes to Personal Data in Lamantine Software records; queries and claims in connection with Personal Data protection

Any registered user may request a change to, or deletion of, his or her record in Lamantine Software‘s Personal Data database. Such requests should be sent to customer support (support@stickypassword.com). Any queries regarding Personal Data protection not answered herein can also be answered by contacting customer support. Lamantine Software reserves the right to change this policy at any time as a result of changes in legislation, changes to Lamantine Software‘s business policy, or any other reason. This Privacy Policy version is valid as of 1st September 2013.
