Hi,

Can I get an email notification about new releases and announcements? (I prefer to disable automatic check for update)

ondrej.novak,

Looks like that forum post is not always to update. The last post was on Fri Sep 30, 2011 (for Sticky Password 5.0.5.241).

Do you have any better idea for me to get the information on new releases? How about via email or a RSS feed?

Hi xbonize,

thank you for your message. The latest build hasn´t been added here by mistake. But you can check the info about latest releases right on our website:

Email Notification

Postby HelenS1964 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 4:16 pm

I am not receiving any email replies to any posts I make or reply to in any of the forums here. This has been going on for about a week now. A quick check of recent threads I replied to show I did mark the selection to receive email notifications. Any idea if it is just a transition glitch or not?

You are still not add the latest build (Build 6.0.7.436 - January 24, 2013) on the forum posts. So I can't get notifications about new released.

Sorry about that, we will add this today. Don't you get automatic updates within Sticky Password application?

No, I've disable automatic check for update because I don't want SP make any connection to the internet. That's why I'm rely on this changelog forum posts to get the information on new releases.

I hope SP Team can always update every changelog as soon as the new version released.

OK now we know our customers rely on that, so we will make it higher priority then, no problem :)

Sure, we try to listen to our customers. You may expect a little delay though - lets say couple hours or 1 day at most after the official release.

Given the fact that SP's fundamental functionality is to make connections to Internet - I hardly believe you use ONLY App accounts - this statement sounds a bit funny...

And you do realize that - given the main purpose of the application - it DOES "connect to Internet" whenever you launch an account from ANY of it's components (main window / systray menu / caption button)?

What exactly are you scared of? The update checks are done via HTTPS, so what is the problem?
I'm just trying to understand this kind of thinking...

BTW, the database of course DOES NOT "connect to Internet"... it's the application what checks for the update. It has nothing to do with the passwords database.
(Or are you also scared that Office sends you Word/Excel files somewhere during it's checks for update?)
