Transferring Sticky Password 5.0 to a new computer

To begin the installation, download the latest build of Sticky Password 5.0 to your new computer. The installation file is available here:

To transfer your passwords from your existing computer to the new computer, make a secure export of your password database (system tray icon – Manage Database – Export…) on your old computer and import the exported file to Sticky Password on the new computer (system tray icon – Manage Database – Import…).

Activate Sticky Password on your new computer with the SAME License Key as on the old computer.

When I try to import on my new computer, I open the Import Data, select Load Passwords and select the pwd file that I exported from my old machine. I select Overwrite (or Merge) and then get "This database entry was created by SP version which is not compatible with the version you are currently running. ..." Both machines are running Sticky Password PRO 5.0.5.241.

just to be sure - you mean .pws file - exported encrypted database file, right? Not .pwd

From which version of Sticky Password have you exported the .pws file?
