SP V6.0.3.368: Links in Help do not work

This is on Windows 7 SP1 x64 Professional with IE9 (all latest updates installed) and SP V6.0.3.368.

If I right click on the SP icon in the Notification Tray and select Help, none of the website links in the Help menu work. Clicking on Online Forum, Web Site, or Report problem with web site does nothing. The URL links on the About window do not work either.

I just tested it and it should work correctly.

IE9 is your default browser? Could you try to change it to some other browser please? Do you have the same problems then?

IE9 is my only browser and therefore it is the default browser (32-bit version of IE9. I do not wish to load any other browser on my Windows 7 SP1 x64 system. I have attached a System Info from SP.

I uninstalled SP and re-installed it. Now the links all work as they should. Something must have happened when doing an auto update via "check for updates".

I have determined what is causing these IE9 links to be dead on both my Windows 7 SP1 x64 and also x86 Professional systems.

In an effort to keep my system free of unneeded files I use cleaner program CCleaner. There are hundreds of language setup files that get loaded by various third party programs that provide multi-lingual GUIs. Sticky Password is one of these program and stores these files in the %ProgramFiles%\Sticky Password\Language folder. There are two .lng files per supported language.

Using CCleaner's Winapp2.ini file, I have set up a language file removal add-in that removes non-English language files (and there are hundreds of these files because of the number of third party programs that provide multi-lingual support). In the case of Sticky Password all language files except spCapBtn.ENU.lng and stpass.ENU.lng are removed from the %ProgramFiles%\Sticky Password\Language folder when CCleaner is executed.

Removing these non used language files causes the URL links discussed in the above posts to go dead. So it is not a bug in Sticky Password.

My question is "Can this be changed in Sticky Password such that URLs will not go dead if the unneeded language files are removed?"

Hello, if you use English, Sticky Password uses .ntv and .enu language files, so do not delete those from the Language folder as it will cause issues like you describe.
