Firefox 18 problem

Hey

I have the latest pro version.
When i enable the plugin for firefox, firefox hangs after +-10 sec browsing
and when i disable the sticky password plugin no problems any more

Подтверждаю! При включённом Sticky Password браузер Firefox 18 вываливается с ошибкой самопроизвольно! Если отключить расширение Sticky, всё работает нормально! Проверялось на версии Sticky Password Pro 5.0.11.258, затем обновила до версии 5.0.11.261 - возникает та же самая ошибка! Думаю, что и в версии Sticky Password 6.0.6.434 / 6.0.6.429 браузер Firefox 18 тоже вываливается. Пожалуйста, исправьте! Невозможно работать

Same here. Updated to Firefox18 yesterday only to find this recurring problem. All other extensions work fine, but when StickyPassword is enabled, Firefox crashes or hangs. Once disabled, it works fine.
Any idea on what is going on? I also sent out an email to Firefox team, but was notified that it is the problem with the extension and not the browser.

our developers are working on this problem and they will fix it as soon as possible. It looked like the problem is on the side of Firefox but finally it seems that there is a problem also on our side.

If it´s possible for you, please switch back to Firefox 17 until this issue will be fixed.

Any updates on this? I am also experiencing the same things on Firefox 18 with Sticky 6 Pro.

And also, I am curious, will this happen when a new version of Firefox is released? Is there being a very significant change with every new release which causes this problem?

we are still working on this issue and it should be fixed soon, however current workaround is to get Firefox 17 or their Beta version Firefox 19 as it seem on those builds it is fine, so maybe this is just some issue with the current version of Firefox as also other products has problem with it. Thank you for understanding.

This is a special problem and it doesn´t appear with every new Firefox release for sure. Usually we are supporting even the latest Firefox Beta without problems.

My firefox 18 was crashing frequently (which now appears possibly related to SP) but I updated to v19 beta and everything is stable, however it says the SP extension is incomptable. When you say that SP pro supports v19 beta are you saying that SP simply won't crash firefox, or are you saying that SP should autofill UN & password, because this isn't happening for any of my logins, nor is the SP icon showing up in my the top right corner of my browser. I used the hotkey and it prompts "autofill login not installed", when I click that it gives me some error message in notifications about firefox disallowing automatic install of extension updates. Is there anything else I could be doing? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

if we say that we support it, it of course means that Sticky Password works with that build without problems so also autofill is working correctly.

However as you can see in the release notes (http://www.stickypassword.com/download/release-notes), the build which supports Firefox 19 hasn´t been released officially yet. That´s because of these current issues with Firefox 18.

The build which should support Firefox 19 Beta is available at:

even with the SP 434-version Firefox 18 & 19 are crashing.
When I disable the SP-plugin Firefox won't crash.

So this seems not to be a good alternative using the unreleased SP-version.

I switched to FF 17.02 esr wich works fine.

When we can expect a solution?

Please verify if our plugin was updated correctly in Firefox.

To update it manually, close Firefox, navigate to Settings - Supported browsers and check if Firefox is listed as "Installed". If it´s not installed, install it by pressing the "Install" button. If it's installed, uninstall it by pressing the "Uninstall" button and then reinstall it by pressing the "Install" button".

If it won´t help, please switch back to Firefox 17. Our developers will continue to investigate this issue.

I reinstalled the plugin just the way you described.

and yeah... now it's a little bit different.
FF 19b1 starts fine, but after 1 minute of surfing around (e.g. twitter, youtube) it starts eating memory.
FF 18 starts eating memory instantly.

FF 17.0.2esr works fine... like I said before...

to be sure that the Sticky Password-plugin is the reason FF18 & 19b1 crashes I disabled all other 3rd-party-plugins like flash, adblock etc.

Hope you'll find the reason for that issue soon...

How long would it take to fix it? I do not like to go back to Firefox 17.

Hi,the fix worked out fine on WIN 7 32 bit Firefox 18.0.1. Thanx
