Synchronizing Sticky Password databases not clear

I tried synchronizing my database expecting that it would be updated from the change I made in the portable database. But it updated the portable one instead. I made a change to a secure memo in the portable database and the choice I picked was:

Overwrite existing secure memo
Replace existing secure memo with secure memo you are importing.

This sounds like it would update my database from the portable one, but it did just the opposite.
Does synchronize only update the portable database?

I'm thinking of a case where I log on to the web from someone else's computer and I have to change the password. I would then like to update my database with this change. Is this possible?

You need to synchronize it from your PC when USB portable version is plugged-in. Then it should work. If you're synchronizing from portable when on the PC it updates the portable version.

I did synchronize from the PC version. So I tried if from the portable version. It worked!
So: PC synchronization updates portable and portable synchronization updates PC.
