Provide MD5 hash for install file!

Provide MD5 hash for install file!

Postby lawpetv » Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:49 am

The install file for 6.0 from softpedia has a different md5 from official stickypassword.com file

I am quite worried either one of them is backdoored.

The one from softpedia gives
7cd1095093d753e5450056f153eb9567

The one from stickypassword.com (http://download.stickypassword.com/file ... 602323.exe) gives
45b17c0a91ead551027c878ed394f28d

Hello,

that is correct, these two MD5 hashes are different because Softpedia is our affiliate and has different installation package (they have just different link inside the application for buying the software), so don't worry, nothing is wrong here :)

Thanks!

Is it possible to provide MD5 hash like other software developers so I can verify in the future? Suppose if I download from cnet I want to know if it is the right one.

You would like to know the MD5 hash for each new build?
