Error Installing SP to Opera 11.10

Hello guys,

I successfully installed StickyPassword V 5.0.3.217 on my computer running a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 OS. There are 3 browsers installed on this computer. They are:

1- Opera 11.10 (default)
2- Windows Internet Explorer 9 V 9.0.8112.16421 32-bit edition
3- Windows Internet Explorer 9 V 9.0.8112.16421 64-bit edition

The StickyPassword icon shows up and works fine with the above # 2 IE 9 32 bit browser. The StickyPassword icon does not show in the above Opera and IE 9 64-bit browsers. I do not expect that the StickyPassword icon will work with the IE 9 x 64 applications. The StickyPassword icon should however work fine with Opera 11.10 since they are both 32-bit applications. The StickyPassword icon does not installed on Opera 11.10. The Opera error console displays the error info written below and repeats that info (reprint update) every 1 to 2 seconds

I have tried re-installing StickyPassword twice with no further success and the same error appearing. Has anyone successfully installed the StickyPassword icon in Opera V 11.10 ? What is causing the above error?

could you please try to delete following folder?

C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Lamantine\Sticky Password\spAutofill.oex

Please let me know if it helped to fix your issue.

Regarding the Internet Explorer 64-bit question - unfortunately at this time Sticky Password doesn't support 64-bit applications. You can run Sticky Password on 64-bit operating systems but only with 32-bit applications.

That's the reason why we don't officially support 64-bit operating systems.

Hello Ondrej,

Thanks for your reply. I removed the folder SPautofill.oex as per your request. This left the following two files in the folder ...\Sticky Password\ :

1- facicons
2- spModuleFileHashes.spp

After doing this there is still no Sticky Password icon in Opera and the Opera error log reads:

The last part of the above error message is hence reprinted randomly.

If I shut down and restart sticky password the folder "spAutoFill.oex is re-created and the error message from my orinal post re-appears.

Please copy the info about this issue to the e-mail and send us also:

1) Archive of C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Lamantine\Sticky Password\spAutofill.oex folder

2) spautofill.oex file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Sticky Password folder

3) your system info:

The System info file can be found by

1) Right-clicking on the Sticky Password icon in the System tray icon
2) Select Help
3) Click on "System info..."

A window will appear with the pertinent Sticky Password technical information that will be used to analyze your issue. NO passwords are included in this information! We do NOT know or collect any password information.

4) Click the Copy button and paste it to the e-mail.

Hello everyone

Some good news and some not so good news.

First the good news: I have noticed that Sticky Password icon has just started working in Opera 11.11 and that the SP error message posted in my first post is no longer present in Opera error console.

Now the not so good news: I am not sure about what happened to fix this error.

The only thing different is that I installed a new program called: "AMD System Monitor". This program also installed the following two software programs: "Microsoft .net Framework 4 Client Profile" and Microsoft .net Framework 4 Extended". If SP uses any or both these two .net framework programs than that would explain why. If not, then I am at a total loss to explain the fix since I have not changed anything else in Opera,Windows 7 or SP.

For the edification of those amongst you that use the opera browser please note that it does not display the SP icon in the same location as Microsoft IE 9. IE 9 display the SP icon at the top left hand of the web page next to the minimize and close buttons. Please note that Opera displays the SP icon next to the web address line. This line and of course the SP icon are therefore only visible when Opera is actively employed to view a web page. The SP icon will not be visible when using opera to view email.
