Hotfix for Firefox 18 crashing issue

thank you for your feedback.

Please verify if our plugin was updated correctly in Firefox.

To update it manually, close Firefox, navigate to Settings - Supported browsers and check if Firefox is listed as "Installed". If it´s not installed, install it by pressing the "Install" button. If it's installed, uninstall it by pressing the "Uninstall" button and then reinstall it by pressing the "Install" button".

If it won´t help, please switch back to Firefox 17. Our developers will continue to investigate this issue.

Yes, the plug-in was correctly installed in Firefox. I have manually uninstalled and reinstalled = Not responding.

The version no – 6.0.0.445 - is confusing. My previous release was 6.0.6.429, in the thread “Firefox 18 problem” viewtopic.php?f=79&p=96812&sid=823ea51c59d888ee507b23c7e8cc6e48#p96802 you have a link to pre-release 6.0.6.434. ???

I am running FF 18.0. Do you mean I have to uninstall FF, reinstall DP and then reinstall FF?

- if you go to X upper right.
- select bookmarks
- select one

then you have two things
1ste if you started with the standard browser you get 2 new tabs with the page you selected

Non standard browser
- a new tab with the page you selected = good
- standard browser go's up with the page you selected and crashes after a while = not good

We have updated the link in the first post, it is reposted here too. There is a new build for testing, please try it again. We are very sorry for all your complications, we are working on resolving this issue constantly and hope we are getting closer to the resolution. the lastest SP 445_stable seems to work fine in FF 18.0.1

To be sure I reinstalled the Auto-Fill-Plugin in FF 18.0.1 and Thunderbird 17.0.2. And now I am sufing nearly 30min without any problems.

So... the Sticky Password Team did a great job I think. Thank you very much...

I have installed SP 6.0.0.445 Stable. Together with the new release of Firefox (18.0.1), I have not (so far) experienced any 'Not responding'.

I noticed a high CPU load, but I found that Shockwave Flash 11.5.502.146 was the reason. After disabling that plug-in, the CPU load was normal.

Working now with the FF17 and the latest test from SP for 1 hour now.so far so perfect.
Now upgrading to FF18... i hoop the same .

i had this first to that's what i did

Install this SP and used it on 17 = perfect to me
Then i upgrade to 18.0.1 = problems a lot but less then before
Reinstall complete SP and restart your PC don't ask me why just do
Now i'am working with it al over 1 hour and so far no problems FF18.0.1 with this build SP

after 2 hours of "heavy-use" FF 18.0.1 is still stable with lastest SP 445_stable.
- generating new passwords on new websites
- using auto-fill on often used websites
- waching lots of youtube-videos

AND: FF 19b1 is also quite stable with the latest SP_445_stable. Here I also dont have any crashes anymore... WOW!

Hmm... and even though christmas is over you can maybe give all the testers here for their help a little special discount on the next Sticky Password PRO 7 upgrade version.

PS: If you search a beta-tester for other releases just write a mail or pm me.
BUT: I use an other email with my bought Sticky Password PRO 6

It seems to be working for me. It's been over an hour and v18.0.1 is still running OK.
