January 28, 2006 - Sticky Password 2.7a has been released and entered into limited testing

We are glad to announce the release of Sticky Password 2.7a

General information: this version of Sticky Password introduces new important feature - active password protection. Now Sticky Password constantly watches for activities that could be used by malicious software to stole your passwords.

How this works: Sticky Password will notify you when any new program is trying to use doubtful feature of operating system. You can check suspected module by antivirus, disallow it or allow constantly in case if doubtful feature used by trustful application.

Here is the example of warning message that you will see when Sticky Password detects doubtful activity:

You can see the suspicious module that is loaded to querying application and the application, where module is trying to use doubtful OS functions. You can get additional information on this module by clicking "Module Info" tab:

Here you can decide whether to allow or prevent this module activity.

Optionally Sticky Password allows you to check doubtful module with antivirus software. You can configure its settings on the "Settings" dialog:
