Cited in the article is an online poll of 300 IT decision makers conducted by Clearswift, a UK-based cyber security firm: a whopping 83% had experienced a data security incident in the past year. (Note that by ‘incident’, we should understand something out of the ordinary – and not necessarily a significant breach of their security system.) Even more relevant to the article, 58% of respondents believed that an insider (employee) was somehow responsible.
