Using a one-time PIN when logging into your StickyAccount on a new device or browser for the first time is a great way of adding an extra layer of security. Enabling the one-time PIN feature is quick and easy – and gives even more control.
It’s the unique PIN code that you’ll need to enter when you‘ve enabled 2-factor authorization for authorizing the connection of a new device to your StickyAccount.
A one-time PIN will be sent to your StickyID (email) or Alternative email (if you’ve specified one) that you’ll need to enter on the new device along with your StickyAccount credentials (your StickyID and Master Password). Once the correct PIN has been entered, the device will be added to your list of trusted devices.
Login to my.stickypassword.com and click the My Account tab.
In the Authorization section select One-time PIN.
Going forward, a one-time PIN will be required whenever you login from a new device or browser that isn‘t included in your list of trusted devices. Check your email (or alternative email) for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with your one-time PIN.
Note: the one-time PIN is valid for only 20 minutes.
Enter the one-time PIN when prompted. As an option, you can also set a name for your device/browser. Click Sign in.
Your new device will be listed at the top of your trusted devices list.
