comodo icedragon

Postby Arsene » Fri Dec 20, 2013 11:21 am

Hi,

Comodo icedragon browser is a Mozilla core broswer. (Faster and more security base on Firefox)
http://www.comodo.com/home/browsers-too ... rowser.php

Would SP7 will support icedragon in the future?
Or can I get the "Sticky Password auto Fill Engine" add-on xpi of firefox ?

Thanks in advance,
Arsene

Hello,
I didn't test it but just try to install spautofill.xpi extension package from StickyPassword installation directory.

Most probably this won't work... because the browser's window class is different from the officially supported Firefox/Seamonkey window class... so even if the extension installs in the browser, communication between the extension and plugin doesn't work.

The same situation is with Chromium-based browsers which are not officially supported (Pale Moon, Waterfox) - installing the extension manually in the browser is not a problem, but that's all... communication with plugin doesn't work.

Old thread, new life... Another vote for Chromium. All my Chrome extensions sync between Chrome and Chromium, except Sticky's. There can't be much difference to complete compatibility.

I did a manual install into Chrome, and the Chrome browser itself creates an app entry in Sticky when I enter my Google sync login info.

But Chrome cant see any of the web entries, or app entries apart from that one.

Now that Google has tightened down on extensions, Chromium is looking more and more attractive.
