Protect folders and encryption file

Postby hhh101 » Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:53 pm

Hi people.
I want to offer some ideas.
1) There are a lot of programms that can protect folders. For example - "Folder Guard", "Folder Protect", "MySecretFolder" and else. So, would be really good, if Sticky Password will have similar functionality. Because inconvenient use two programms if could have one programm with all functions.
2) Also would be good if you implement encryption of files. For example as the next programms "Cryptic Disk", "Ashampoo Magical Security 2", "Jetico BestCrypt", "Kaspersky KryptoStorage".
So, it will be very good, because all functions will be in one programm.

Hi hhh101,

many thanks for your suggestions.

We´ve been already discussing such features in our team.

We´ll probably implement it in the future.

Protect folders and encryption file

As already possible with some competitors, it would be nice to be able to mount ISO images to shared folders, and have the possibility to put access rights on them just as on a shared folder.

Any change, we could have this in a near future DSM release?

I actually don't think this would be a good idea, I think that a password manager should be a password manager and nothing else. That is how all of your competitors work, they are good at one thing only, storing and filling in passwords, trying to be too many things at once will divert resources away from the main purpose of this program.
