Tmp folder still used by SP V7 final version.

Tmp folder still used by SP V7 final version.

SP V7 creates a folder C:\tmp on the user's system. In that folder, SP places a log file named MM.log.

During beta testing this was brought up and a request was made to not create an ambiguous tmp folder but to clearly identify the folder via a StickyPassword name and place it somewhere else other than the root C:\.

The response to this request was "In the final release it will be on one place and only when needed."

I again make the request that SP use a uniquely named location to place MM.log and that it not be at the root location of system drive. It should be placed under %SystemDrive%\Program Data or %SystemDrive%\UserAccount\AppData\Roaming or even in SP program folder at %SystemDrive%\Program Files (x86).

Sorry about that, we have not been able to fix this until the release as other issues were present in the past couple days. We will try to move it to one location to the next build release.

How about the user option to turn off logging entirely. Thank you.

It should be turned off in the latest version. Does it log in your case all the time or what?

It is still logging in V7.0.2.27 on both Windows 8 x64 Pro and Windows 7 x86 Pro. C:\Windows\tmp folder is still being created and used for mm.log

Can you please delete the logs on both machines and after they are created again attach it here in reply? For Win 8 it seems the log is still being created, but we can not reproduce the logging of MM.log on Win 7 (maybe an old Beta log here)

Here is the MM.log from Windows 8 x64 Professional. Sticky Password on Windows 7 x86 Professional did not re-create the C:\Tmp folder or MM.log.
