Firefox and Google Chrome issues

Firefox and Google Chrome issues

Postby kiteboarder » Sun Jan 26, 2014 2:41 am

FIXED!

Hi, I have downloaded the new SP 7 Desktop (Thanks!), imported my PWS and cannot get the little SP launch icon in top right corner to respond (when I click it nothing happens) in Google Chrome version 32.0.1700.76
*I have uninstalled/reinstalled the addon as recommended in FAQ still to no avail.

Also in Firefox I get this error trying to install plug in... Error installing autofill plugin in to Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox have disabled the autofill plugin.

Thanks much and hope to have a fix soon but for now can go direct to SP and launch from there but dearly miss the ease of addon. ;)

*Going to download Opera now and see how that works.

Edit: Downloaded Opera and SP icon does not show yet in SP Settings it shows installed...

**I have an SSD drive that I use just for Windows and a normal hard drive that I use for my programs and everything else.

SP seems to have manually installed itself to C drive which is the SSD drive by default as it gave me no option on where to install it.

Update: Google Chrome & Opera now are mysteriously working again but FF is not.

Update: Just dug deeper into Firefox and if anyone else is experiencing the same thing: Top left corner in FF, Click Add Ons / Click Extensions then make sure SP is "Enabled".

One would assume that by installing it that it would be enabled by default but that was not the case here.

+1
Please reintroduce the possibility to change the destination.

Still unable to get SP to work in latest Firefox and have used Chrome since above post.

Have Uninstalled plugin/re installed/enabled and disabled all to no avail in Firefox. Keep getting error Autofill program not installed even tho it shows it in SP but has yellow triangle w/ ! inside next to it.

Any other suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks

Installed Autofill Engine 7.0.7.69

Can see SP icon in toolbar in Firefox and when clicked get error "Autofill Plugin not installed"

When I click "Autofill Plugin not installed" it asks to close pages to install which I did and then get error Mozilla FF has disabled Autofill Plugin.

When I go into FF addons I have SP "enabled" as the only option is to "Disable.

Any help is muchappreciated!

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

Did you send your request to our support please?

You can try to reset the Firefox settings to default and reinstall the plugin. You can find this option in Firefox menu - Help - Troubleshooting information.

I just tried sending Support a request for help from website and get following error:

"An error has occurred while sending your question. Please try again later. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Below is message I was trying to send.

Thanks,

Hi, I have completely uninstalled Firefox, Re Installed FF, Enabled SP, Removed SP and retried, Reset FF to Default and still can't get SP to work in FF, and get same ongoing issue as above mentioned.

*Using latest version SP "no updates avail"

Also completely RESET FF and now works! :D

UPDATE: If anyone else is having this same problem try using the Reset Firefox (SP now working after total FF Reset) To re-enable old extensions/addons search Desktop for folder called "Old Firefox Data"
Hope this helps others and Happy Holidays!
