How do I get Sticky to save a login with 3 fields?

Postby charles_i » Thu May 02, 2013 10:30 pm

For example - I have to log into a website that has the following fields:

Account Number
User
Pwd

Sticky only saves the User and Pwd. Is there any way to add an Account Number to a Web Account?

Thanks
Charles

You have to use the Manual Form Edit feature to handle such sites.

1) Navigate to the main Sticky Password window - Web Accounts
2) select the account that you would like to edit
3) press More - Edit - Options tab
4) select Define settings manually to open the Manual Form Edit and load the website of the Account
(NOTE: it may take a few moments for the website to load, please be patient)

The Edit form will open in a new Sticky Password window. Your web-page will be displayed in the bottom half of the window. The top half of the window shows the active fields on the web-page that require data entry. Here you will be able to select the behavior of the fields. Fields for which Sticky Password will populate data are shown with a 'check' mark.

By 'checking' or 'un-checking' one of the fields, you are able to manually change the 'value' that you would like Sticky Password to populate each time the web-page is accessed.

Sounds good but I can't get it to work. In the manual setting window I have the account number in the top field where it should be - but when I go to the website it tries to pt my user name into Account Number and User Name.

Have you used the appropriate buttons on the top line properly? I mean Value, Login and Password. I have only one account of this kind (LOGONKEY=<companyID> + USERNAME & PASSWORD). It works fluently for my site.

I got it, thanks. I didn't realise I had to actually click and fill in the "value" fields in the top panel - I was just filling in the bottom one where there was a screen shot of my web page.

It is great that you sorted it out, charles_i. Based on your question I have added a post in the Suggestions and Feature Requests section - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=86688&p=99443#p99443
