Supported/not supported browsers

Supported/not supported browsers

Postby Aurelio » Wed Jul 10, 2013 3:25 pm

I opened this topic because chromium and Iron was asked to support at least one year ago, but nothing since than.
I am waiting here those who also agree to be supported these two browsers by SP. Please post here if you agree with being supported Chromium/Iron, or any other browser.

If you go in SP to the "settings/supported applications", you can see that theorically SP supports more browsers than it is indicated on the website:

IE
Firefox
Chrome
Opera
Flock
Seamonkey
Firefox portable
Flock3
Opera portable
Yandex
Comodo Dragon

But CH/Iron are not among....
Providing continuous development to so many different browsers is not easy, but would be considerable to extend the list.

Sorry for offtopic, but this is quite interesting - does your Settings really say "Supported applications"?! It should actually say "Supported browsers"...
That would mean your language files are somehow broken - this obsolete string would appear if you delete the English language files (*.ENU and Language\*.EN.lng).

Heh, that's apparently wrong...
For example the "Access authorization" item should correctly read "Security". And other texts should be different too, see the screenshot.

How exactly did you install Sticky? Can you look in the System Info and post the "Application Files" part?
As I said, your language files must be missing, so the application uses obsolete strings built in the EXE file.

Well, after reinstall, it is as you say, but please focus on on the main goal... gathering users, who also would like to use SP with chrome clones!

While we're piling on this topic, Pale Moon support was promised 18+ months ago and has never arrived.

I'd like to stay with Sticky Password, but I'd really like to move to Pale Moon even more.

Hi,

PaleMoon support is prepared for next release. If you are interested you can test beta version (not fully stable yet).
