Biometrics: Face ID and fingerprint authentication on your Android

Sticky Password supports fingerprint and Face ID on Android devices. You can unlock your password database on Android smartphones and tablets using any of these options.

In this tutorial we’ll show you how to set up Face ID as well as fingerprint authentication for unlocking Sticky Password on your Android device.

Setting up Sticky Password to work with your fingerprint and Face ID

Depending on what option you have previously selected in your device settings — Face ID or Fingerprint authentication (or both) — you can use any of them to Unlock Sticky Password.

  1. Run Sticky Password. Tap the Menu button in the top left corner.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap App Protection.

  4. Enter your Master Password and tap Unlock.

  5. Tap Protection type.

  6. Select Biometrics.

  7. Tap OK.

  8. You’re all set! Now you can unlock Sticky Password using your fingerprint:

    💡 To unlock Sticky Password with your Master Password instead of Biometrics, simply tap USE PASSWORD when prompted.
