Contactless Connect

Contactless Connect is a secure, hassle-free way to log in to websites on any computer. With Contactless Connect, there’s no need to install the full Sticky Password app on the target computer—just add our new browser extension and your ready to go! Once the extension is installed, simply scan the unique QR code with the Sticky Password mobile app, and your login details will autofill directly on the browser.

How does it work?

To create a smart connection between Sticky Password on your smartphone and any device with a browser, simply:

1. click Sticky Password’s extension button in the browser on the computer to generate a unique QR code;
2. and tap the built-in QR code scanner in the Sticky Password app on your smartphone to scan the QR code.

Then select the account from the Sticky Password database on your smartphone and watch as Sticky Password opens the site on the computer and logs you in.

When to use Contactless Connect

Contactless Connect is ideal for:

• computers where installation of the Sticky Password application is not possible for technical reasons, such as Linux and Chromebooks;
• environments where shared computers make it impractical to install the Sticky Password application for a single user;
• environments where installation of outside applications is restricted by office policy;
• remote desktops, virtual desktops, and kiosk mode;
• IT Crowd-types in the office who go from desk to desk sorting their colleagues’ computer tech issues will enjoy the super-convenient login;
• and, Contactless Connect is a convenient cross-platform solution for assisting friends and relatives who use a different computer platform than you do.

Is Contactless Connect secure?

Yes, Contactless Connect is secure, using end-to-end encryption to connect the Sticky Password app on your smartphone with the browser on the computer. Only these devices can decrypt the information, ensuring your data remains private and protected at every step.

Where to find the QR code?

The unique QR code is generated by the Sticky Password extension. For beta-testing, please install the special version of Sticky Password extension here.

Once the extension is installed, make sure it is pinned to the browser toolbar for instant access.

Click the new Sticky Password extension “camera” icon on the login page of your choice.

This will launch a unique QR code.

How to scan the QR code?

Contactless Connect QR code can be scanned only from Sticky Password application. Click here to install the latest beta version.

Start and unlock Sticky Password on your Android or iPhone.

Tap the QR code scanner button on the mobile device.

Scan the QR code on the computer screen and Sticky Password will populate the login you choose on the website.
